Kids Konserve

Did you know that in America, each school age child creates approximately 30Kg of lunchtime rubbish per school year? Kids Konserve founders, Lynn Julian and Chance Claxton knew about this waste (both environmental and financial) first hand as they packed their children’s lunches each day with juice boxes and food wrapped in plastic bags and foil. Deciding to do something about it, Kids Konserve was launched in late 2008 with the desire to create a reusable and waste-free lunch system.

Kids Konserve products not only allow you to send your children off to school with a waste-free lunch but you can also rest easy knowing they are non-toxic and environmentally friendly to boot. All of the Kids Konserve products are made from non-leaching, non-toxic, BPA, PVC, phthalate and lead-free materials and they only use 304 food-grade, stainless steel for their food containers and drink bottles as it is proven to be the safest material to house food in.

The Food Kozies are made from recycled #4 PE plastic and are recyclable. All of the stainless steel products are recyclable as are the #4 LDPE plastic lids on the Round Stainless Steel Containers. What’s more, the non-toxic ice pack is 100% biodegradable and according to the team at Kids Konserve, when you've finished with it you can plant it in your garden!

Kids Konserve is transparent about its products and every shipment is tested to ensure they meet FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requirements and CPSIA (The Consumer Public Safety Information Act) standards. They also work hard to promote schools, parents and families on the importance of reusing and donate a percentage of sales back to each school participating in their Waste-Free Challenge.
