Totally Bamboo

Totally Bamboo began 10 years ago and is committed to helping reduce the world’s dependence on non-renewable resources. They use only naturally grown bamboo, low impact biodegradable packaging and process the bamboo near the source to reduce transportation as much as possible.

Totally Bamboo is committed to following fair trade practices at their manufacturing facility in China. They communicate their social responsibility and commitment to quality and are thoroughly involved in the production process from harvest to completion. Their factory is certified; ensuring a socially responsible and safe work environment that gives back to the local community and follows strict guidelines.

Totally Bamboo does not buy from unknown sources or the common market, which guarantees quality, age of bamboo and an environmentally safe and responsible work ethic from start to finish. All of the bamboo they use is from a naturally accruing forest which is managed to ensure it is not over harvested. The forest is located in the mountainous regions west of Shanghai where bamboo grows abundantly and has been harvested continually for over 5000 years. It replenishes itself naturally with no artificial water supply or nutrients added that may harm the watershed.

Low impact harvesting practices are used which ensures that only the amount of bamboo needed is cut, without any damage to the surrounding bamboo forest.
